What I took away from this: baby carrots were invented in the 90s?! Crazy. Actually, it mostly just reminded me of a case we read this year in my budgeting and management class, about Disney going into the vegetable business. The company actually bought farms and started breeding smaller, sweeter fruit that would better appeal to kids’ palates. Not a particularly sustainable solution to childhood obesity, but it’s a start.
