I fully believe that everyone who wants an education should have the opportunity to get one, but the for-profit model is not the answer. We can’t just give a degree to anyone who decides to sign up for one. I am the first to say that we are failing as a society to provide adequate opportunities to non-traditional, disadvantaged students, but it is ridiculous to saddle educational debt on those who can least afford it. Dear Congress: more $ to community colleges, please.
